Finally a bit of sunlight! Amsterdam was quite an interesting city to see. It just amazes me the things that you can do and see there. When I use to hear the word “Amsterdam” the first things that popped into my head were drugs and hookers. Well, I can say my perception was spot on. On nearly every street corner you could find a “coffee shop” which sells any form of marijuana you could imagine. Joins, cookies, brownies, teas all infused with THC are legal to purchase and consume. Local bars even allow you to smoke marijuana in their premises.

When it comes to hookers, you have to venture to the red light district. Window after window of women dancing and ready for a customer to come knocking on the door for sex. I just couldn’t get over the fact that someone could just pick one out like they were shopping for groceries or something. Walking past the red glowing windows displaying woman was strange. It was interesting, astonishing, and sad all rapped into one weird emotion. We did visit a museum on prostitution one afternoon which was very educational explaining how some women get into the business, their daily lives, and the business side of prostitution.
